National Development Plan is a programming document submitted by Member States to the European Commission that contains a detailed description of priority areas needing support. As a means of planning over several years the development plan includes national, regional and field-specific priorities, measures and objectives. The Development Plan must include:
  • An analysis of the socio-economic situation by the main sectors (strengths and weaknesses)
  • Strategy and objectives (development opportunities)
  • Identification of priorities and measures
  • Funding plan to implement the priorities and measures (indicating both the national and EU co-financing)
